Biography
Club career
Pupil of youth teams of the football club "Mercury" (Tartu). In 2002, he joined the Flora system in Tallinn, but played only for the club’s youth teams, and also acted on loan in adult football for Tervis (Pärnu), HUIK (Emmaste) and Valga. As part of the Valga, he made his debut in the top division of Estonia on March 27, 2004 in the match against Trans , [1] . Total spent 7 matches for “Valga” in the major league.
In the summer of 2004 he returned to Mercury and began to play for his adult team. The debut match was held on August 3, 2004 against Levadia [2] , and scored the first goal in his second game, on August 8 at the gate of Valga [3] . In total, during the calendar year he played 25 matches for the club from Tartu in the top division and scored 9 goals.
In the summer of 2005 he moved to TFMK , where he became one of the leaders of the club’s attack, having played 92 matches in three and a half seasons and scored 48 goals. Twice (2006 and 2008) was one of the top ten scorers in the Estonian championship. Champion of the country in 2005, winner of the 2006 Cup and Super Cup of Estonia. At the end of the 2008 season, TFMK was sent to the last place in the table and disbanded, and Vladislav Gusev himself received a two-year suspension for participating in contractual matches [4] .
In total, he played 124 matches in the Estonian Premier League and scored 57 goals.
In soccer, the footballer did not compete in official competitions. Since 2013, he played in the lower leagues for Mercury, became the winner and top scorer of the third league zone tournament (fifth division) in 2015, the winner of the second league zone tournament (fourth division) in 2016, two-time winner of the Estonian Amateur Cup (2015 , 2016). In 2017 (according to other sources, in 2013-2017) he was the playing head coach of Mercury. Since 2018, he has been playing in the third division for Helios (Voru).
Also in 2013-2016, he played for the clubs of the Estonian futsal championship (Best Credit, Ararat Tallinn), including in the top division.
Team Career
He played for the youth team of Estonia.
He made his debut in the Estonian national team on May 28, 2006 in a friendly match against Turkey , replacing Kristen Viikmäe in the 80th minute [5] . He played his second and last match on October 11, 2006 against Russia , in which he also appeared on the field at the end of the game.
Personal life
Brother Vitaliy (born 1983) is also a soccer player who played for the Estonian national team.
