Simeon Chamov ( Bulgarian. Simeon Chamov ; born December 24, 1990 , Yambol ) - Bulgarian boxer , representative of the welterweight category. He has been playing for the Bulgarian national boxing team since 2006, winner and winner of many tournaments of international importance, a participant in the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .

Biography
Simeon Chamov was born on December 24, 1990 in the city of Yambol , Bulgaria . He was trained in the capital CSKA under the guidance of coach Mikhail Takov [1] .
He first made himself known on the international scene in the 2006 season, winning a silver medal at the European Cadet Championships in Albania.
In 2009, he entered the main squad of the Bulgarian national team and visited the World Cup in Milan , where he was stopped by the Russian Maxim Ignatiev at the preliminary stage of the welterweight category.
In 2013, he boxed at the European championship in Minsk and at the world championship in Alma-Ata , but could not get here among the winners.
He won the welterweight title at the 2014 European Union home championship in Sofia.
In 2015, he played at the European Championships in Samokov and at the European Games in Baku .
Thanks to a series of successful appearances, he was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro - the first opponent in the tournament bracket successfully passed in the 69 kg category, while in the second fight at the 1/8 final stage with a score of 0: 3 was defeated by Thai Sailom Adi [2] .
After the Olympics, Chamov remained in the Bulgarian boxing team and continued to take part in major international tournaments. So, in 2017, he was noted for his performance at the European Championship in Kharkov , where in the 1/8 finals of the welterweight, he lost to Azerbaijani Parviz Bagirov [3] .
