Vakhushti Kotetishvili ( Georgian ვახუშტი ვახტანგის ძე კოტეტიშვილი , 1935-2008) - Georgian Soviet literary critic and translator, doctor of philological sciences, professor, academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Georgia. Laureate of the Saba Prize [1] .

Biography
Born in the family of the famous Georgian writer and public figure Vakhtang Kotetishvili (1893-1937), mother - Nina Dilevskaya. In 1937, the father was repressed [2] .
He graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Tbilisi State University in 1959. From 1965 to 1977 he taught at the university.
The first poem was published in 1954, the first translations - in 1958.
He defended his candidate dissertation “On the Question of the Interpretation of Hafez's Lyrics” in 1964 [3] . He received his doctorate for his thesis "The structure of the Persian classical rhyme", defended in 1975 [4] .
He lived in Tbilisi on Vakhtang Kotetishvili St. , 7 [5]
