Station Building
The first mention of the station in Vinnitsa dates from 1870 . It was at this time that the newly built Kiev-Balta-Odessa railway line was laid through the city.
The first building was made of wood and looked like a church. There was also a bell announcing the arrival and departure of trains.
Thanks to the railway, after 40 years the city tripled and became the first in terms of trade in the Podolsk province . The new station building was erected at the end of the 19th century in a neo-Gothic architectural style. A feature of the construction was the roof with the so-called "tongs".
Suburban and local traffic
The station receives suburban trains (directions: Zhmerynka, Kazatin, Gayvoron, Gaysin, as well as superior trains in the directions of Khmelnitsky (via Starokonstantinov, Khmelnik), Korosten (via Kazatin, Berdichev, Zhytomyr) and Kiev). Suburban communication, unfortunately, is insufficient due to underfunding from the regional state administration and other institutions, and is technically impoverished.
Direct trains leave for Zhmerinka, Kalinovka, Gnivani, Kazatin, Nemirov, Sitkovtsov, Gaysin, Dzhulinka, Gayvoron, Kiev (part of the electric trains go to Kazatin next to Kiev after parking and changing numbers), Vapnyarka (part of the electric trains go to Zhmerynka further to Vapnyarku changing only the flight number), etc.
