Vladimir Vasilievich Sokol (born October 13, 1926 , the city of Dnepropetrovsk , now the Dnepropetrovsk region ) is a Ukrainian Soviet party leader. Member of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of the 7th convocation. Candidate for membership in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1971 - 1976. Candidate of Economic Sciences (1975).

Biography
In 1942 - 1944 - in the ranks of the Red Army. Member of World War II.
In 1948 he graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Institute of Railway Engineers.
In 1948 he joined the CPSU (b).
In 1949 - 1950 he was a teacher at the Dnipropetrovsk Institute of Railway Engineers.
In 1950 - 1951 - Secretary of the Dnipropetrovsk City Committee of the Komsomol.
In 1951 - 1952 - head of the department of working youth of the Central Committee of the Komsomol.
In 1952 - 1954 - 1st Secretary of the Kiev City Committee of the Komsomol.
In 1954 - 1958 - 1st Secretary of the Kiev Regional Committee of the Komsomol.
In 1959 - 1962 - 1st Secretary of the Stalin District Committee of the Communist Party of Kyiv.
In 1962 - December 1965 - Chairman of the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports under the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR.
In December 1965 - March 1966 - Secretary of the Kiev Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
