Airport Rail Link - subway line in Bangkok , Thailand , ( Thai . รถไฟฟ้า เชื่อม ท่าอากาศยาน สุวรรณภูมิ). The literal translation is "an electric train connecting Savarnabhumi Airport." The line solves two main tasks - transporting tourists from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the city center and transporting local residents (all stations except Suvarnabhumi are located within the city). Previously, different trains of different colors were used for these purposes. For delivery to the airport, a red train with the words "Express line" was used. At the moment, all trains go with all the stops.
Trains run from 5-30 a.m. to 0-00 a.m. During busy hours on weekdays, the minimum interval is 10 minutes, on weekends 13 minutes. The maximum interval between two trains is 23 minutes. The train travels all the way in about 26 minutes.
For convenience, each station has its own code starting with the letter A. At A6 Makkasan station, a blue MRT metro line can be connected to MRT. At A8 Phaya Thai station, you can transfer to the light green BTS line of the overground subway.
The fare depends on the number of passing hauls. For the first haul, you will have to pay 15 baht , and for each next 5 baht extra. Thus, the maximum fare is 45 baht.
For the transportation of passengers, Siemens Desiro 360/2 trains are used. [one]
