Stephen Harrison ( Stephen Coplan Harrison ; born in 1943, New Haven , Connecticut) - American biologist , protein specialist. Biography
He graduated from Harvard University (Bachelor of Chemistry and Physics, 1963) and in 1967 received a Ph.D. in biophysics there. Since 1971, in the state of alma mater, from 1988 to 1992, she headed its department of biochemistry and molecular biology, and from 2009 to 2012 served as head of the department of biological chemistry and molecular pharmacology at its medical school, now head of the laboratory of molecular medicine at (since 1996) and director of the Center for Molecular and Cellular Dynamics at Harvard Medical School (since 2002), as well as a personal professor at Harvard (since 2007). Over the years, his research lab has been closely associated with . Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (1989), Fello American Association for the Advancement of Science (2005), associate member of the EMBO (2001).
