Michael Rogers ( born Michael Rogers ; born May 18, 1964 , Victoria , British Columbia , Canada ) is a Canadian actor . Best known for her role as scientist Barry Niall in the science-fiction thriller Beyond the Black Rainbow , detective Givens in the horror film HellRaiser 6: Search for Hell and the sorcerer Kuan Chi in the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy . He also played secondary roles in the TV series Continuum and Fringe .
