Biography
As a football player, he acted as a striker. He was one of the strongest Caribbean forwards of his time. La Forest achieved the greatest success as part of Defense Force , with which he repeatedly won the national championship . In 1984, Trinidad became the first Caribbean footballer to move to Hong Kong . However, appearances in the team of “Eastern Lyons” were short-lived: La Forest was seriously injured, after which he ended his career. For the national team of Trinidad and Tobago, the striker spent 34 games and scored 11 years.
Returning to his homeland, he began to train. La Forest has worked with many local teams. In the early 2000s, he led the San Juan Jablothi to the title of champion of Trinidad and Tobago. For several years, La Forest worked in the national team system - in 2004 for a short time he headed Juice Warriors, and then the specialist worked with the Trinidad youth and Olympic team. [1] The last team in the coach’s career was “ Ma Pau ”.
In 1997, Ron La Forest founded his own academy in his homeland, in which he continues to work.
