Metrienna volost ( Latvian. Mētrienas pagasts [4] ; obsolete. Liaudon-Odzene volost [5] ) is one of the 15 territorial units of the Madona region of Latvia . The administrative center of the volost is the village of Metriena [2] .

Geography
The territory of the parish covers 14,025.2 ha , located on the Jersik Plain of the . The highest point is Mount Ozolkalns (125 m), located in the southwestern part of the parish [2] .
There are 7 lakes on the territory of the volost, the largest of which is Kurtavas [2] .
History
In 1935, Metrienne parish was part of the Madona County [5] . The area of the volost was 129.31 km² [6] , and the population was 1790 people (820 men and 970 women) [5] .
