He writes in Estonian , Set and Võru .
In his works, he combines postmodernism with the folk traditions of his homeland - the southern part of Estonia.
His song “Tii” (“The Road”) performed by the ensemble “ Neiokõsõ ” became the semifinalist of “Eurovision-2004” , and the song “ Kuula ”, performed by Ott Lepland , represented Estonia in the final of the Eurovision-2012 contest .
Member of the Union of Writers of Estonia , Tartu Association of Young Authors From 1996 to 2009, he was a member of the literary group Tartu Noorte Autorite Koondis.
He published his 9 books, 2 solo CDs and many books and CDs co-authored with friends. The author of a number of plays, including several libretto for the Estonian National Opera.
Collaborates with the newspaper “ Uma Leht ” in the Russian language .
Winner of the Estonian National Radio Battle of Poetry radio contest. Winner of many awards.
