Born in the family of Theodoros Pantelidis and Katerina Socratos [1] .
In 1966 he graduated from high school (Cyprus) [12] .
In 1966-1967 he served in the Cyprus Army [1] .
Education
University of Northern Illinois (Bachelor of Physics, 1969), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Master of Physics, 1970; PhD in Physics, 1973), postdoctoral studies at Stanford University (1973-1975).
