Gurystyuk, Alexander Petrovich

Aleksandr Petrovich Gurystyuk was born on June 2, 1959 in the village. Yaroshivka, Talalayevsky district, Chernihiv region in Ukraine in a military family. He studied at an art school for two years until he was expelled from there for bad behavior. Ukrainian painter. Secondary education.

Since 1989 he has been working in art workshops at the Rivne organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (NSHU).

Member of regional and all-Ukrainian art exhibitions of the 1990s. Personal exhibitions - in Rivne (1990, 1994, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2007), Lutsk (1996, 1998), Kiev (2000, 2001, 2006), Lviv (2003), Lublin (Poland, 2004), Presov (Slovakia, 2006). Participant of the 2nd International Art Plein Air on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the City of Presov (Slovakia) May 28 - June 9, 2006.

A. Gurystyuk has in his creative arsenal about 500 different genres and different stylistic paintings. In recent years, figurative oil painting of Alexander gravitates to the naive style. Among the artist 's paintings there are many female portraits .

In the 1980s, O. Gurystyuk rebelled against the system and the “social circus”, which is displayed in the paintings “The Head of the Family”, “Members of the Rivne Party”, “Night”, “New Year's Clock”, “Feast”. Since the late 90s, the artist gravitates to folk-ethnic and religious themes. It is still working in this direction.

Realism and filigree style have transformed at the present stage into a rather free-flowing pictorial technique with emphasized incomplete details. The artist formulates the conceptual foundations of his work in two words “soul and color”. A plastic solution in the style of primitive, textured surface of paintings, bright colors, dramatic and grotesque images - these are the means by which the artist tries to formulate and solve one of the most important problems of his work - the magical mystery of every moment of reality.
