Igor Ivanovich Kuznetsov (born April 5, 1973, Saratov) is a Russian political scientist and public figure, doctor of political sciences, professor of the Department of History and Theory of Politics, Faculty of Political Science, Moscow State University MV Lomonosov [1] [2] , Executive Director of the Russian Society of Political Scientists [3] [4] .

Biography
In 1995 he graduated from the Faculty of History of Saratov State University named after N. G. Chernyshevsky . In 1995-1996 he served in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In 1999 he defended his thesis "Separation of powers in modern Russia: the dynamics of the transition model", specialty 23.00.02 - political institutions, processes and technologies. He taught at SSU, in 2008 received the academic title of assistant professor in the department of political sciences.
In 2002-2003, he worked as an expert in the Discussion Space program of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (Germany). Under the scientific supervision of I.I. Kuznetsov, a number of dissertations on political sciences were prepared and defended. In 2003, he underwent a retraining course for the Summer Political University, organized by the National Training Foundation at MGIMO ( University ) of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; in 2005, he took part in the International Summer School “Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe in the Context of European Security Problems: 1975-2005”; in 2007, advanced training took place in the direction “Modern Technologies for Monitoring and Forecasting Regional Political and Economic Processes”, Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences .

Kuznetsov “Political mechanisms of separation of powers in modern Russia” became the laureate of the All-Russian competition for the best scientific book of 2010, held among teachers of higher educational institutions and researchers of research institutions by the Foundation for the Development of Russian Education. Since 2011 - professor at the Department of History and Theory of Politics, Faculty of Political Science, Moscow State University, member of the dissertation council of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov 23.00.02 - political institutes, processes and technologies.
