Biography
In 1960 he graduated from the Kazan Aviation Institute, for two years he worked as a foreman at the Gorky Aviation Plant. Since 1962, at the Department of Structural Mechanics of Aircraft (SMLA) KAI, Head of the Department of SMLA (1989–2007), Dean of the Faculty of LA (1982–1987), opened in KAI the specialty “Helicopter Engineering” (1985 ) and "Operation of aviation technology" (1992), scientific director of the industrial laboratory of the strength and reliability of aircraft structures of the Ministry of Aviation Industry (1989-2002) and the industry laboratory of the Ministry of General Machine-Building on means of saving space objects.
The author of a scientific discovery (2004), registered in the Academy of Natural Sciences under the number 270 "The phenomenon of the formation of oscillations of a catastrophic change in the shape of composite bodies in a gas or liquid flow" [3] (before this discovery has not been in Tatarstan since 1973). By P. L. Kapitsa, “To the Author of the Scientific Discovery” (2004). On the basis of the discovery, he formulated a new scientific direction - Geometrically nonlinear mathematical models of the aeroelasticity of an airplane wing (helicopter blade) - which made it possible to create theories and methods for calculating many aviation and space structures (Tu-22M, Tu-154, Su-27, Il-76, An- 22, An-74, “Buran”, Ka-50, “Ansat”).
He has published over 240 works, among them: a scientific discovery, 5 monographs, 7 patents. [7] [8]
In collaboration with his son, V. V. Pavlov, he patented a new type of vertical take-off and landing aircraft (VTOL) with a rotating disk wing (the wing of Pavlov's aircraft - patent No. 2101215 [9] ), from which the blades are put forward on take-off and landing. This is the first type of VTOL aircraft with the possibility of flying by supersonic, combining an airplane with a helicopter, the wing of which is a means of saving passengers [10] . A flying model of the VTOL aircraft was built, the models of which were evaluated by gold, silver and bronze medals at exhibitions in Brussels, Geneva and Moscow. In the aerospace circles of Russia and the United States, it is recognized that the “Pavlovs' Wing” can be used for landing reusable rocket stages and space crews. [eleven]
In the scientific school of V.A. Pavlov about 30 candidate and 6 doctoral theses have been defended.
