Project muse

Project Muse is an online database of peer-reviewed academic journals and e-books . Project Muse provides access to social sciences and humanities content from over 250 university publishers and academic societies .

Founded in 1993 by Johns Hopkins University Press and the Library. Milton S. Eisenhower of Johns Hopkins University with grant support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the US National Humanities Foundation .

The goal is to disseminate high-quality scientific materials in an acceptable model that satisfies scientists, publishers, and libraries. MUSE content is available by subscription to science , government , specialist, and school libraries. Project Muse has accessed over 2,700 libraries worldwide.
