Fredia Gibbs ; born July 8, 1963 , Chester, PA is the first African American kickboxing champion. [1] After defeating Valerie Enin in 1994, she became known as “The Most Dangerous Woman in the world. ” [2] She was one of the outstanding champions of her time and remains an outstanding personality in the history of women's kickboxing lightweight champion. She is also a former Thai boxing athlete and participant in three kickboxing world championships. Fredia Gibbs is also a professional female boxer participating in a boxing tournament since 1991 about 2005. She published her first book, The Story of Fredia Gibbs, in 2016 about her life [3]

Biography
Fredia Gibbs was born in Chester, PA . Gibbs Graduated from Temple University . She began her basketball career and was invited to join the U.S. Women's National Basketball Team . Later, she continued to play professional basketball in Germany. In 1990, after moving to North Hollywood , Fredia took up kickboxing under the direction of Benny Urkides at the Muay Thai Academy. Gibbs moved into the professional boxing world in 1997.
