Story
The film takes place during the civil war between North and South. Northerners suffer from a large shortage of horses. Lieutenant Colonel John Hudson was tasked with delivering the horses to the disposal of the Allied Army. But the spy informs the Confederates about the timing and route of movement of horse herds. While transporting horses to the plain, an unknown gang sympathizing with the armies of the South attacks them. The fort command realizes that there is a traitor among its own. During the next raid, Major Alex Kearney, in order to save people's lives, decides not to join the battle. He is accused of cowardice and, having demoted, is dismissed from the army. Then a free shooter from Springfield, Kearney becomes the first counterintelligence agent of the North. He undertakes to discover who is behind the theft of horses from the Allied forces' cavalry in Colorado . But the enemies accuse Kearney of being a spy for the army of the South and sentencing him to death ...
