USSR at the 1988 Summer Paralympic Games

The USSR first participated in the 1988 Summer Paralympic Games and was represented by 22 athletes in two sports - athletics and swimming. Vadim Kalmykov won four gold in Seoul - in high jump, length, triple jump and pentathlon. Tamara Pankova immediately won three gold medals in athletics competitions.
