From the age of six he began to play the organ, having gained in this capacity a certain fame, especially as an improviser. At the age of 14, he switched to the piano, studied at the Stockholm Conservatory with Esther Bodin-Karpe , then in Berlin with Laszlo Shimon , in Helsinki with Liisa Pohjöl and in Trossingen with Gabriel Amiras . In 1991 he made his debut with the Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra , performing the Second Piano Concert of Bela Bartok .
He performed and recorded as a soloist with leading conductors of Northern Europe, including Thomas Dausgor , Jorma Panula , Esa-Pekka Salonen , Leif Segerstam . Promoting Swedish musical material, he received, in particular, the Diapason d'Or Prize for the performance of the Franz Berwald piano concerto, also recorded Wilhelm Stenhammar , Einar Englund , Peer Nörgor , etc. At the same time, he readily performs the Well-Tempered Clavier Concerto JS Bach , released albums with the works of Robert Schumann and Franz Liszt . As an accompanist, he recorded, among other things, an album of sonatas with tubist Eistain Bodswick .
The author of three dozen works, including two symphonies, three piano concerts, various chamber works.
