Biography

Club career

He was born on August 24, 1975 in Baranovichi and is a pupil of the local youth sports school. The first coach is Sergey Norikovich Martirosov. He made his debut at the professional level as part of the Ataka club, for which he played from 1995 to 1997 in the Premier League of Belarus and played 53 matches. In 1998, he signed a contract with another club of the major league Shakhtar (Salihorsk) . He spent two years at the club, but in his second year in the team he lost his place at the base and played in only one league match. In 2000, he spent a season at the Luninets first league club. At the end of the season, he took second place in the league with the club and could not get into the top division. In 2001, he moved to another club of the First League “Torpedo” (Zhodino) , with whom he became the winner of the league and returned to the Premier League, however, after the transfer of “Torpedo” to the top division, the player lost his place at the base and over the next few years played for the team only 9 matches. In 2006, Drozd regained his place in the gates and spent 16 more matches for the team in the national championship, after which he left the club and moved to the Bobruisk Belshina . The last club of the football player was Smorgon , for which he spent 10 matches in 2008 and ended his playing career at the end of the season.

In total, during his career he played 107 matches in the major league of Belarus, in which he conceded 140 goals and played 39 times “to zero”.

Team Career

He played his only match for the main team of Belarus on August 20, 1996 against the UAE team (0: 1) . Andrey Drozd appeared on the field after the break, replacing Dmitry Yekimov and did not concede goals in the second half

Coaching career

Since 2009, he began working as a goalkeeper coach. In 2009-2010 - in the Smorgon, in 2011-2012 - in the Zhodino Torpedo. Since the summer of 2012 he has been training goalkeepers in the youth teams of FC BATE . On February 1, 2013 he entered the headquarters of the backup staff. Since January 2014, he worked with the first team. Since January 2015 he returned to the double. In April 2017, he again became the coach of the goalkeepers of the main team, from January 2018 - curator of goalkeepers of FC BATE. In June 2018, he returned to the duties of coach of the goalkeepers of the main team.

In 2011, he graduated from the Belarusian State University of Physical Education with a degree in football coach. Has a category “A” coaching license. [one]
