People sowed rye, wheat, bred cattle, including foals, who were called Strigunks - this is one of the versions of the name of the village Striguny.

The Sheremetevs bought up land, including the Moshchensky, arable lands became more and more, and there was no one to cultivate them, so the Sheremetevs settled Ukrainian settlers on these lands - Cherkas , while the number of descendants of Russian employees was reduced at the same time.
