Aleksandr Leonidovich Ivanovo (February 16, 1953 - February 28, 2014 [1] ) - Soviet and Russian scientist, doctor of chemical sciences, professor, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (co-authored; 1995).

Biography
Born February 16, 1953. Graduated from the Physics and Technology Department of the Ural Polytechnic Institute (Sverdlovsk) (1976, Department of Theoretical Physics, specialty “Physical Engineer” [1] ).
Since 1976, at the Institute of Solid State Chemistry of the Ural Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (RAS): graduate student, engineer, junior, senior and chief scientific researcher, since 1994 head of the laboratory of physical methods for studying solid bodies.
In 1980 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of sciences on the topic "Electronic structure and chemical bonding in refractory compounds of α-metals IVa, Va subgroups" [2] . In 1988, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Chemical bonding and electronic structure of ideal and defective phases of implementation” [3] .
Since 1992, part-time professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Ural State University .
Specialist in the field of quantum solid state chemistry and computer materials science. The author (co-author) of more than 200 publications, including 10 monographs [1] .
Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (1995) - for a series of works “Quantum-chemical and radiospectroscopic methods in solid state chemistry” [1] .
Member of the Editorial Board of the journal Spectrometry and Spectroscopy.
