Enrique de Aragon and Pimentel , known as the Infante of Fortune ( Spanish: Enrique de Aragón y Pimentel ; July 25, 1445 , Calatayud - July 2, 1522 , Castellon de Ampurias ) - Spanish aristocrat , Count da Ampurias (1458-1522) and Senor de Segorbe (1458–1469), 1st Duke de Segorbe (1469–1489), Viceroy of Catalonia (1479–1493).

Biography
Born July 25, 1445 in Calatayud . The only and posthumous son of the infantry Enrique of Aragon, the Duke de Villena (1400-1445) and his second wife, Beatrice de Pimentel (1416-1490), the daughter of (d. 1440), 2nd Earl of Benavente , and Leonor Henriques de Mendoza, daughter of Alfonso Henriques, Admiral of Castile (1354-1429).
Titles and Titles
After the death of his father in 1445, his uncle, King Alfonso V of Aragon , became regent of the county of Ampurias. Enrique could not gain access to the administration of the county until the death of his uncle in 1458 , when he received the titles of Count de Ampurias and Senor de Segorbe .
In 1469, the lord de Segorbe was elevated to the rank of duchy. In 1489, Enrique de Aragon and Pimentel transferred the title of Duke de Segorbe to his second son Alfonso.
When his cousin Ferdinand II was proclaimed king of Aragon in 1479 , Enrique de Aragon and Pimentel was appointed vice-king of Catalonia .
He died on July 2, 1522 in Castellon de Ampurias . He was buried in the Poblet monastery .
Marriage and children
In 1488, Enrique de Aragón and Pimentel married Guillaume of Portugal (1468–1516), daughter of (1441-1483), and Maria de Noronha and Souza, 2nd Countess de Odemira, sister of (1465-1539), adviser to King of Spain Charles I of Habsburg and future viceroy of Catalonia. In marriage, they had three children:
- Juan de Aragon (1488-1490)
- Alfonso de Aragon and Portugal (1489-1562), Count de Ampurias (from 1522) and the 2nd Duke de Segorbe (from 1489)
- Isabella de Aragon and Pimentel (1491—?), Husband from 1513 , 6th Duke del Infantado (1493-1566).
