Eleftherios "Larry" Hadzidakis ( born Eleftherios "Larry" Chatzidakis ; born June 24, 1949) is an American businessman and Republican politician, member of the General Assembly of New Jersey. Active member of the Greek community of the United States .

Biography
Born in a Greek family, has three brothers. In 1947, his parents left Athens ( Greece ), first leaving for Caracas ( Venezuela ) and Montreal ( Canada ), in 1955 finally settling in Philadelphia ( Pennsylvania , USA). Larry's father, Emmanuel Polidoros Hadzidakis (1920-2007), a World War II veteran, was originally from Piraeus , his ancestors came from the village of Meronas in Crete . At an early age he lost his mother. While in Venezuela, he married his childhood sweetheart, Maria Fostira.
In 1971 he graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor of psychology.
For nearly 50 years, he worked at the Dakis Oldsmobile car dealer , owned by his father.
Member of the Council (1985–2000) and Mayor (1988, 1992, 1996, 2000) of , member of the of Burlington County (1995–1997) and New Jersey General Assembly (1997–2008 )
In 2006, the New Jersey General Assembly adopted Resolution AR112 on Cyprus , sponsored by Larry Hadzidakis and Steve Korodimas , urging the United States to initiate a just and peaceful resolution of the Cyprus conflict .
Personal life
Married, has three children. Lives in Mount Laurel.
