Description
The total length reaches 1.4 m. The color is brownish or cream with a large number of faintly visible dark transverse stripes. The head is elongated with a pattern of numerous brown dots and spots. The belly is light in color with dark longitudinal stripes along the edges of the abdominal flaps.
The poison is slightly toxic.
Lifestyle
Inhabits primary and secondary rainforests . It occurs at altitudes from sea level to 1000 m above sea level . Active during the day, spends all his life in the trees. It feeds on frogs and lizards .
Reproduction
This is an ovoviviparous snake. The female gives birth to 5-7 cubs.
Distribution
It lives on the islands of Kalimantan , Sumatra , on the mainland of Malaysia , in Singapore and Thailand .
