Street of the Soviet Army (Ryazan)

The street appeared in the late 60s during the construction of a new district of Dashkovo-Pesochnya. In 1970, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Victory, the street was named after the Soviet Army. In 1973, a trolleybus was launched along the street. The square at the intersection of the streets of the Soviet Army and Novosyolov is still unofficially called the "Old Circle".

In 2014, a square was opened on the street, named after the composer A.V. Alexandrov - a native of Ryazan province, the author of the music of the anthem of the USSR and the anthem of the Russian Federation ^[1] . A monument to the composer was erected in the square ^[2] .

Almost all the routes connecting Dashkovo-Pesochny with other areas of the city go along the Soviet Army Street from Kasimovsky Highway to Novosyolov Street. Two trolleybus routes run from Novosyolov Street to Zubkova Street.
