Podschalka is a type of single-masted sailing and rowing boat, which has become widespread on the Caspian Sea for fishing with hook tackle or nets.
Pods could be used for fishing as independent units, they could also be based on fishermen . The length of such a boat was 6 - 7.5 meters, width 1.6 - 1.8, the height of its sides 0.7 - 0.9 meters, draft 0.4 meters. The total sail area (luger) reached 18 square meters.
In the future, this concept began to mean any boat that is held by the ship on the Bakshtov and does not board [1] [2] .
