Biography
The son of a Moscow professor A. A. Kudryavtsev , stepson A. A. Kizevetter .
He graduated with a gold medal from the 7th Moscow Gymnasium and the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow University (1910) [1] and was left at the university to prepare for a professorship.
In the 1916/17 academic year In the year he taught at Moscow University 2 semi-annual special courses: “Equations with Numerical Coefficients” and “ Galois Theory, ” in the 1917/18 academic year. year - a special course on group theory and elliptic functions.
In the 1920s he taught at Yaroslavl University [2] , in the 1930s - at the Moscow Forestry Institute . Since 1933 - associate professor, then professor of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University ; for many years he read mathematics at the natural faculties of the university.
He died on November 28, 1953 .
The author of the textbook of higher mathematics for the natural faculties of universities is V. Kudryavtsev, B. P. Demidovich. A short course in higher mathematics, which has survived a large number of publications (1949, 1959, 1962, 1975, 1978; stereotyped publications: 1978, 1986, 1989, 2001 , 2003, 2005, 2007). In the 1st edition, Demidovich wrote only a small part of a theoretical nature; then he made additions and changes. V. A. Kudryavtsev had other publications, including:

Wife (since 1919) [3] : Olga Yakovlevna, nee Lukasheva. Their son: historian Oleg Vsevolodovich Kudryavtsev (1921–1955). Priest Anatoly Sventsitsky recalled:
It was she, an Orthodox Russian woman, who convinced our parents not to send us to the first classes of the school in order to avoid the influence of the ideas of atheism and Bolshevism <...> A secret classical gymnasium was formed at home, or rather, "at home", since we were engaged in different apartments. They studied history, literature, the history of religion and the Russian church, Greek and Roman mythology in great detail.
