History
After Juan de Garay founded Buenos Aires in the 16th century, he began to distribute land in the vicinity of the city to his soldiers, and then the first European settlers appeared in these places.
At the beginning of the 19th century, after the British invasions of the Viceroyalty of Rio de La Plata were repulsed, some of the British prisoners who decided not to return to Europe were also settled in these places.
In 1865, a railway passed through these places, which gave impetus to the development of the settlement.
In 1873, the municipality of Almirante Brown was formed, and the settlement became part of it.
In 1965, the settlement received the status of a city.
