Career
Ferguson grew up and graduated from high school in West Jefferson. In May 2014, in his final year of study, he tore his elbow ligaments and, after graduation, underwent Tommy John surgery. Immediately after that, Caleb put forward his candidacy for the Major League Baseball draft and in the 38th round he was chosen by the Los Angeles Dodgers club. Ferguson signed a contract with the club, refusing to enter the University of West Virginia . Recovery after surgery took eighteen months [1] .
In 2015, Caleb held fourteen games in the Rookie League. Two years later, he played in the "Ranch-Kukamonga" in the A-League. Ferguson started the 2018 season in the Tulsa Drillers AA League, showing an ERA 0.83 transmittance of eight in eight starts. In June, he received a call to the core of the Dodgers [1] . The first three games in Major League Baseball, Caleb held as a starting pitcher, after which he was transferred to bullpen . By August, he was entrenched in the team, and head coach Dave Roberts said he would rely on Ferguson as a player in the starting rotation [2] .
