Ubaly is a swampy lake in the Sharipovsky village council of the Almenevsky district of the Kurgan region , near the village of Ubalino , the former Ubalina railway station. The reservoir area is 2.64 km² [2] . The width of the water protection zone is 50 m, the coastal strip is 50 m [3] .

Ubala Lake is called Bashkirs ( Bashk. Ubala ); the village of Ubalino was inhabited by the Kurgan Bashkirs - the Yalan-Katai Bashkirs with Bashkirs, parishioners [4] .
The name of Lake Ubala was transferred to other objects, such as the collective farm. Stalin [5]
Ubala is included in the list of the largest lakes of the Sharipovsky Village Council, along with Koshkol, Kumalt, Burliutskol, Kukteki, Lake Ofitserov, Yamanai [3] .
