MY5

MY5 , also known as Mening Yurtim 5, is a nationwide, private, round-the-clock youth, educational and entertainment TV channel in Uzbekistan . The test broadcast of the channel began on November 12, 2014 , and fully began broadcasting on December 12 of the same year. The television channel mainly broadcasts in Uzbek , also part of the broadcast is in Russian , and English is less commonly used.

The channel is known by the short abbreviation MY5 from the Uzbek words Mening Yurtim / Mening Yurtim - it translates as My homeland , and number 5 is considered a symbol of positive and excellent work. The television channel broadcasts mainly modern, youth, entertainment and educational programs and programs, broadcasts films and series (including foreign ones), videos and songs.

In February, the rating of the most popular TV channels in Uzbekistan was published according to the polls, and in this rating MY5 took third place, losing to Milliy TV , gaining 17.7% of the vote. In November 2017, another rating of the most popular TV channels of Uzbekistan was published following a three-month survey among the country's population, and MY5 took second place in this rating, losing to Zoʻr TV . 13% of respondents preferred the TV channel MY5 [4] . As of mid-July 2019, more than 1 million subscribers are subscribed to the channel’s official page on Instagram [5] .
