Margarita Tverdokhleb (born June 2, 1991 , Reshetilovka ) - Ukrainian athlete , specialist in long jump . Biography
Margarita Tverdokhleb was born on June 2, 1991 in the city of Reshetilovka, Poltava region, Ukrainian SSR .
The first major success in the international arena was achieved in the 2010 season, when she joined the Ukrainian national team and visited the World Junior Championships in Moncton , from where she brought the bronze medal prize won in the long jump - here she was bypassed only by Cuba representative Irisdaymi Herrera and Chinese woman Van Upin .
In 2011 she performed at the European Youth Championship in Ostrava , took the final 14th place.
I performed at the 2012 European Championships in Helsinki , where I showed a result of 6.53 meters. Thanks to a series of successful performances, she won the right to defend the honor of the country at the Summer Olympics in London - in the long jump program she jumped at the preliminary stage to 6.19 meters and could not qualify for the final stage.
After the London Olympics, Tverdokhleb remained in the track and field athletics team of Ukraine and continued to take part in major international competitions. So, in 2013, she performed at the European Youth Championship in Tampere , and in 2014 she started the adult European Championship in Zurich .
In November 2016, her doping test, made at the London Olympics, was rechecked — traces of a banned substance turinabol were found in it. As a result, the disciplinary commission of the International Olympic Committee annulled its results at the Olympics, and in May 2017 the athlete was disqualified for a period of two years [1] [2] [3] .
