Pyotr Ivanovich Rusanovsky (? - 1839 ) - translator of the Maritime Scientific Committee under the Admiralty , director of the museum of the Admiralty Department.
Biography
Since 1770 he was a teacher of foreign languages at a noble school of Moscow University . In 1872, Moscow University awarded him a bachelor 's degree , in 1788 - a master of philosophy and free sciences.
In 1794, he was sent to the Swedish border as a special assignment officer under Vice Admiral Marquis de Traverse , and 5 years later he was appointed forwarder of the Commission of Theological Schools for the scientific part. When de Traverse became managing director of the Ministry of the Sea, Rusanovsky was appointed June 30, 1810 as director of the Museum of the State Admiralty Department.
In 1823, Rusanovsky, already then a state adviser , was dismissed from service, and, thanks to the application of the Marquis de Traverse, he was highly granted the full pension - 1,500 rubles a year.
Rusanovsky was a member of A. F. Labzin ’s Masonic Lodge “The Dying Sphinx”, but in 1820 he was expelled from it for not attending box meetings.
Rusanovsky died in Moscow in 1839 .
