Biography

Being a serf landowner of the village of Troitsky State CouncilorA. P. Levashova , delivered to her table dainties and sweets. In 1804, with the permission of the landowner, he moved with his family from Troitsky village to Moscow for rent, where he opened grocery trade and began to produce apricot jam and candy in the newly created family workshop [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] . Later he bought his freedom, registered as a Moscow merchant of the 3rd guild of Semenovskaya settlement [4] [5] [6] . The nickname, and then the surname Abrikosov [K 3] received for the art of making sweets from apricots [6] .

After the death of S. N. Abrikosov, the family confectionery business was continued by his son Ivan, and after the bankruptcy of the latter, he was resumed by his grandson Alexey [4] .
