Pangoniinae (Latin) is a subfamily of insects of the gadfly family.

Exterior Structure
On the crown there are three simple eyes . The third segment of the antennae consists of eight segments. Proboscis long, longer than head. The sucking lobes of the proboscis are narrow. The base of the costal vein (basicost) is bare. Rear leg legs with end spurs. The ninth abdominal tergite is whole [1] .
