Biography
Born in Winnipeg in a family of Russian Jews who immigrated to the United States in the early 1920s. In his youth he moved to California, where he began to work on the radio. He made his debut on movie screens in 1949, appearing later in such films as “ War of the Worlds ” (1953), “ Abbott and Costello Go to Mars ” (1953), “ Evil Red Planet ” (1959), “ Come Back, My Love ” ( 1961), “ Follow the Dream ” (1962), “ Cape of Fear ” (1962) and “ McClintock!” "(1963). For his role in Billy Wilder’s “ Apartment ”, Krushen was nominated for an Academy Award.
In addition, the actor worked a lot on television, where he had roles in the TV series “ Batman ”, “ Bonanza ”, “ Murphy Brown ” and “ Lois and Clark: New Adventures of Superman ”. The actor was married three times, becoming the father of two children from his first marriage. [4] Crushen died in the city of Chandler at the age of 80.
