Vladimir Mikhailovich Mikhailovsky (born November 7, 1932 , Leningrad ) is a Soviet and Russian artist , painter , graphic artist, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR , member of the Union of Artists of Russia , full member of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts.

Biography
Born on November 7, 1932 in Leningrad. In 1949 he entered the Leningrad Higher Industrial Art College. V. Mukhina (St. Petersburg State Art and Industry Academy named after A. L. Stieglitz) at the faculty of monumental and decorative painting.
In 1957, having completed eight studies, he arrived on call at the Kaliningrad Organization of Artists [1] . In 1965 he joined the organization of the Union of Artists of the USSR . As an exception to the charter of the Union of Artists, in 1959 he was included in the Art Council of the Kaliningrad art and production workshops and worked in it, including as chairman, until the 1980s.
In 2006, he was elected a corresponding member, and in 2018 - a full member of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts.
Creativity
The education of the monumentalist determined the diversity of the creative manifestations of Vladimir Mikhailovsky. This is easel and monumental painting, graphics , including printmaking , ceramics.
The main focus of the work of Vladimir Mikhailovsky is marine . Among the plots of this genre are historical and naval themes. The artist paid much attention to the creative work for the wardroom wardrobes built at the Yantar plant in Kaliningrad from 1973 to 1998. These were panels in the technique of marquetry , graphics in the technique of hot enamel and paintings of various subjects.
The scope of Vladimir Mikhailovsky’s creative attention included subjects from the life of seaports, the labor of collective farm fishermen, the theme of yachting , and the theme of the exotic coast of the coast. In addition, the artist proved himself as a prominent portrait painter in painting and graphics [2] .
A significant role in the artist’s work was played by a trip to the North Atlantic in 1963 on the vessels of the fishing fleet. This event, together with an abundance of sketching works, gave a significant impetus to fruitful work for the whole subsequent time.
More than 50 works created in the 1960s, the author donated to the Museum of the World Ocean .
The creativity of Vladimir Mikhailovsky is invariably inherent in the style of realism and the energy of a positive mood [3] . This, as well as professional skill, determines the creative success of the artist.
