Rogoznian

Rogoznianskoe [2] (obsolete. Zbuninskoye [3] ; Belorussian. Ragaznyanskay ) is a lake in the Brest region of the Brest region , 30 km south of Brest , in the basin of the Seredovaya River , which flows into the Spanovka river, which in turn flows into the Western Bug .

Geography

The hollow of the lake is a suffosion - karst type. The slopes of the basin are 3-4 meters high, mostly densely overgrown with forest. In the north and east, the lake is bordered by dunes. The basin consists of two stretches . The shores of the lake are high, in the west - a ripple . The bottom is flat, with sandy and silty deposits. Overgrown with characteristic vegetation. The lake has a wide zone of shallow water, up to 100 meters [4] , the greatest depths are in the central parts of the western and eastern reaches. The lake is inhabited by pike, bream, tench, perch, roach, rudd, and the area around the lake is mainly swampy in some places [5] .

Rogoznyanskoye Lake is connected by a canal to the White Lake , also a stream flows from the lake, which flows into the Seredovaya River.

Traffic

On the shore of the lake is the village of Berestye , connected by regular bus services to Brest [6] . 4 km to the west of the lake is Rogozno village, 5 km to the east is the village of Zbunin, connected by the P94 highway to Brest.

Recreation Area

Within the framework of the Brest group of lakes (including also White and Black Lakes) it is a recreational object, although less developed than Lake White. In the vicinity of Lake Rogoznyansky there is the Berestye sanatorium, a recreation center, agricultural estates; There are mineral wells near the lake (both for drinking and bathing) [7] .
