The invisible child ( Swede. Det osynliga barnet ; also the name The Invisible Child was used in the 1990 Russian edition) is the seventh book of the Finnish Swedish-language writer Tove Jansson from the Moomin series.

History
In the original, in Swedish, the book of short stories was published in Finland in 1962 [1] , five years after the previous one was published - “ Magic Winter ” (1957) [2] . The style of the author’s narrative is changing: new stories reveal other personality traits of heroes known from previous books and even often change the reader’s view of them.
In 1962, the book was translated into Russian by L. Braude , A. Fredericks, and S. Plakhtinsky.
Structure
The book includes nine unrelated stories-tales about the inhabitants of Mumi-dol . The nanny intimidated Ninny so much that she became invisible. In order to make her visible again, Tuu-tikki brought Ninnie to the Moomin house, and Moomin-mother has to cure the baby Ninnie from invisibility.
