Biography

Orthodox. From the nobility of Podolsk province . Received general education at the Kiev military gymnasium .

He entered the service on September 1, 1880, with a rank cadet at the 2nd Military Konstantinovsky School . On August 7, 1882, he was released as second lieutenant to the 48th Odessa Infantry Regiment .

He was transferred by the cornet on April 26, 1883 to the 34th Dragoon Starodubovsky regiment . Lieutenant since June 20, 1884.

He graduated from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff in 1889. Headquarters Captain . In the same year it was renamed headquarters captain .

Appointed to be a member of the Kiev Military District . Since November 26, 1889, the senior adjutant of the headquarters of the 2nd Caucasian Cossack Division . Since April 21, 1891 the captain . Senior adjutant of the headquarters of the 12th army corps since July 4, 1891. From November 3, 1892 to November 9, 1893, the qualified command of the squadron served in the 26th Dragoon Bug Regiment . In 1892 he was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav of the 3rd degree.

From November 22 to December 11, 1895 he was for assignments at the headquarters of the 15th Army Corps . From December 11, 1895 to February 17, 1900, the headquarters officer for errands at the headquarters of the Vilna Military District . Lieutenant colonel . In 1895 he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 3rd degree.

May 20, 1904 he was appointed commander of the 108th Saratov Infantry Regiment [2] . He was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav of the 2nd degree, and in 1906 the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree.

From February 12, 1908 to May 5, 1910 he was chief of staff of the 19th Army Corps . April 13, 1908 "for distinction" was promoted to major general [3] .

On May 5, 1910, the chief of staff of the 5th Army Corps [4] . December 6, 1911 was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 3rd degree.

Member of the First World War . On December 22, 1914, the commander of the 51st Infantry Division of the 2nd Caucasian Army Corps of the Artillery General S. Mehmandarov . On October 2, 1915, “for excellence in service,” he was promoted to lieutenant general (art. 04.12.1914 [5] ) with approval in office. Over the course of one 1915, he was awarded four military awards: the orders of St. Anna of the 1st degree with swords, St. Stanislav of the 1st degree with swords, St. Vladimir of the 2nd degree with swords and the White Eagle with swords.

On March 28, 1917, after the committee of officers and soldiers deputies of the 2nd Caucasian Grenadier Division removed General Gen. Mehmandarov from command of the corps, Lieutenant General V. Beneskul was elected by this committee the commander of the 2nd Caucasian Army Corps [6] .

On March 31, on the orders of the commander of the 10th Army , the infantry general V.N. Gorbatovsky , the general arrived for the 2nd Caucasian Army Corps for commissions under the commander S.L. Markov . Having met with the temporary corps commander Beneskul, Markov very hotly fell upon him for the incorrectness of his acceptance of the corps from the hands of Ensign Remnev.

On April 2, 1917, Lieutenant General Vladimir Onufrievich Beneskul shot himself. He was buried in Voronezh at the Chugunovsky cemetery . April 7, 1917 is excluded from the lists of the deceased.
