Lake Zugersee ( Zugersee ) - a lake in Switzerland . Located in the northern foothills of the Alps , partly in the canton of Zug , partly in the canton of Schwyz , a very small part of the lake belongs to the canton of Lucerne .

On the north side of the lake the shores are low, and on the south-west side, the slope of the Riga mountain approaches directly to the shore, part of the eastern shore is bordered by the slopes of the Rossberg and Zugerberg mountains . The mountains are covered with forest.
The catchment area of the lake is 246 km². [2]
The lake is rich in fish, pike , carp and endemic species of trout are found here (Salmo salvelinus species, local household name is Rolheli).

The lake is navigable, the main operator of regular passenger navigation is the Zugersee Schifffachrt shipping company. On the lake there are both sightseeing cruises and flights in the mode of public transport, with a large number of intermediate stops.
