Fuji Mountain Secret

The novel tells about the Russian entrepreneur Damien Ulitin and his startup “Fuji experiences”, the essence of which comes down to selling happiness . More precisely, providing clients with a set of procedures, the effect of which is guaranteed by the long-forgotten pleasure of life. In a parallel storyline, the friend of the protagonist joins the New Hunter sect , practicing "esoteric feminism", which goes back to the teachings of one of Castaneda's followers. In the final part of the novel, the fate of the heroes is expectedly intertwined in the most sarcastic way ^[3] .

In the novel “Secret Views of Mount Fuji,” it is an unmatched satire on startups from Skolkovo , on oligarchs, on feminism , and on western — and maybe universal, greed. (Olga Aminova) ^[4]

The critic Galina Yuzefovich praised the new novel as “the most Buddhist” and “the most straightforward”, but saw in it a “ misogynic darling”, capable of “spoiling the impression of the novel, in all other respects bright, clear, charming and replete with cute Easter eggs for old fans of the writer's work ” ^[5] .

Politician Gavriil Popov believes that “Pelevin came to the correct, in my opinion, conclusion that it is necessary to change the very foundation of modern civilization.
