The Center for Culture and Arts of the SBU ( Ukrainian Center for Culture and Mystetsv SBU ) is a concert hall in Kiev on Irininskaya Street , 6. Built in 1978 as a club of the KGB of the Ukrainian SSR .

History
At this place, on the corner of Irininskaya and Mikhailovsky Lane, was the house of Ivan Danilovich Yuskevich-Kraskovsky (1807 - 1887), a Latin teacher of the Second Kiev Gymnasium . The last evening and night in Kiev from August 12 to 13, 1859, was spent in this house by Taras Shevchenko . This house, despite public protests, was demolished in 1977, the KGB club of the Ukrainian SSR named after Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky was built in its place, and a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the building.

For example, in the hall of the Center for Culture and Arts under the Security Service of Ukraine , the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the creation of the SBU Alpha Office was held (where veterans and employees of various departments of the SBU were present, guests of the evening). Also, since 1997 amateur festivals “Your Talents, SBU” have been held (where children of SBU employees from all over the country, as well as their parents) take part. Over the entire existence of the contest, more than ten thousand children of employees and pupils of children's institutions of the SBU participated in it. The creativity of the participants is evaluated by a competent jury consisting of famous Ukrainian actors , poets , musicians .
In the hall of the House of Culture of the SBU in 2010, an evening was devoted to the 140th anniversary of the writer Alexander Ivanovich Kuprin . The event was organized by the production agency "Artmedia" and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ukraine . Also in the house of culture were the international festival of contemporary dance “Stars of the World Art Nouveau”, the international festival of films for children and youth “Wings”, the show of Irish dances and music in Kiev, the all-Ukrainian dance and vocal festival “Brilliant” [1] and other events. We also conducted a family New Year program, in the framework of which the children's musical “ The Wizard of the Emerald City ” was shown, animators entertained children and parents.
