Team test
DS Techeetah Formula E Team
The 2018/19 season was the first for the second generation of Formula E cars, a significant difference of which is a significant increase in power compared to the previous Spark-Renault SRT 01TE chassis . Capacity increased from 200 kW to 250 kW, and the maximum speed was 280 km / h. Such an increase in power allows race cars to overcome the full race distance, so from the season 2018/19 there is no change of cars during the race.
Frenchman Jean-Eric Verne spent the season as the current world champion, which he became on Techeetah's car in the previous season , but the team trophy was defended by the German team Audi Sport ABT Schaeffer Formula E Team , who were ahead of Techeetah by 2 points in the 2017/18 season.

Team Changes
BMW joined Formula E as a factory team in collaboration with Andretti Motorsport . [20]
Mercedes created an HWA affiliate team with Venturi technical support. The project was a preparatory site before the entry of Mercedes as a factory in the 2019/20 season.
Renault ceded its place in the championship to its partner Nissan , while cooperation with DAMS has been preserved. Renault motivated this decision by the desire to concentrate on Formula 1 .
Techeetah changed Renault power plants to DS Automobiles .
Virgin switched to powerplant Audi .
Changes in the compositions
The ex-pilot of the teams of Formula 1Sauber , Ferrari and WilliamsFilipe Massa replaced Tom Dilmann in Venturi , thereby making his debut in Formula E.
Nicolas Prost left e.dams at the end of the 2017/18 season . In his place came Alexander Albon , but after 3 weeks he was signed into the Formula 1 team Toro Rosso . In the end, the team was Oliver Rowland , speaking in Formula E in the season 2015/16
Felix Rosenquist left the Mahindra team for appearances at IndyCar . The new pilot of the team became the ex-pilot of Formula 1 Manor and Sauber , as well as the champion DTM 2015 Pascal Verlein . Because of the agreement with Mercedes, which was in force until the end of 2018, Pascal was unable to take part in the first stage in Edir, so Felix took part in the first race of the season.
In a pair with Antonio Felix da Costa , Alexander Sims was signed at BMW , for whom it was the first season in Formula E.
Robin Fairy returned to Formula E, replacing Alex Lynn in the Virgin .
Jerome D'Ambrosio replaced Nick Heidfeld in Mahindra .
In the place of Jerome D'Ambrosio in the Dragon came ex-pilot of Formula 2Maximilian Günther .
The pilots of the HWA debut team were ex-Formula 1 pilot McLarenStoffel Vandorn , as well as 2018 DTM champion Gary Paffett .
