Akpoguma is a pupil of the Karlsruhe club. On November 10, 2012, in his match against Darmstadt 98 , he made his debut in the Third League of Germany [2] . On January 26, 2013, in a duel against Osnabruck , Kevin scored his first goal for Karlsruhe [3] . In the summer of the same year, Akpoguma moved to Hoffenheim . The transfer amount amounted to 1 million euros. To get playing practice, he began to play for a team of understudies.

In the summer of 2015, Akpoguma was leased to Fortuna from Düsseldorf. July 26, in a match against the Berlin Union , he made his debut in the Second Bundesliga [4] .

In the summer of 2017, Akpoguma returned to Hoffenheim. On October 22, in a match against Wolfsburg , he made his debut in the Bundesliga , replacing Stefan Posch in the second half [5] .

International Career

In 2012, Akpoguma as part of the German youth team won silver medals at the European Youth Championship in Slovenia . At the tournament, he played in matches against the teams of Georgia [6] , France [7] and the Netherlands [8] .

In 2014, as part of the German youth team, Akpoguma won the European Youth Championship in Hungary . At the tournament, he played in matches against the teams of Bulgaria [9] , Serbia [10] , Ukraine [11] , Austria [12] and Portugal [13] .

In 2015, as part of the German youth team, Akpoguma took part in the Youth World Championships in New Zealand . At the tournament, he played in matches against the teams of Fiji [14] , Uzbekistan [15] , Honduras [16] , Nigeria [17] and Mali [18] . In a duel against the Uzbeks, Kevin scored a goal.
