Pearl turuch [1] ( lat. Francolinus pintadeanus ) is a species of bird from the family of pheasant (Phasianidae) [2] .

Description
The average body length of a bird is 30–34 cm, and its weight is 280–400 g. Females are slightly less than males [3] .
Distribution
Pearl turuchs live in Cambodia , China, India, Laos , Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam . They are introduced to Mauritius , the Philippines, Madagascar , the USA, Chile and Argentina [4] . They live in subtropical and tropical forests.
IUCN assigned the species the status of “ least threatened species ” (LC) [5] .
