An individual race with a separate start at the Underrs at the World Championships in road cycling in 2018 was held on September 24 in Innsbruck, Austria.
Members
The participating countries were determined based on the UCI World Ranking . The maximum number of riders in a team could not exceed 2 people, provided that one of them participates in a group race . In addition, the current champions of the continental championships could participate outside the quota. A total of 71 participants from 42 countries participated.

Route
The length of the route was 27.8 kilometers. Start was located in the center of the adventure park "Swarovski Crystal Worlds" in the city of Wattens . Then the distance passed through the whole area of Innsbruck in the cities of Colsas and Wer, where they crossed the Inn River. Then they proceeded to Fritzens , district Brücke-Höttinger-Ayu to Sankt Nikolaus, where they crossed the Kettenbrück bridge. The final stretch ran along the wide Rennweg Boulevard to the finish in front of the Hofburg Imperial Palace.
