The Lyada is a river in the Tambov Region of Russia , a right-hand tributary of the Forest Tambov River .

Description
The length of the river is 24 km, the basin area is 166 km² [2] . It flows in the forests to the east of Tambov .
The source is 5 km north-west of the village of Stolovoe in the Tambov region [3] . From the source it flows a little to the west, then it flows almost to the south. In the lower reaches it flows through the village of Novaya Lyada [4] . Below the village flows through Rasskazovsky district . Tambov falls into the Forest on the right bank 25 km from its mouth and 3.5 km above Kotovsky reservoir [5] .
There is a pond on the river in the village.
The main tributary is the Talinka (11 km long, flows into the mouth of the left).
In the basin are also located the villages of the Military-Novozy “New Lada” , Rada , Zarya .
In Novaya Lyada, the Tambov- Saratov highways and railways cross the river.
